Cleaning hot tubs

My friend and I talked about how to clean our hot tubs – we’ve both got one, and we’ve both got machines that need cleaned and we’re always very worried that we’re not using the right products.  One of the major reasons that I think that my hot tub never seems clean is I’ve been using the wrong cleaner.

The wrong cleaner versus the right one

I chose not to use the recommended cleaner for my hot tub – in part because I didn’t realise that the recommended cleaner was actually recommended because it worked best, I just thought it was a sales tactic by the company (because they’re the only ones that stock it in my area).  I tried several others, including ones that cost more than the one they recommended, but it just didn’t seem to make either of my hot tubs (because, eventually the first one broke) clean.  So I chatted with my friend, whose hot tub has always been perfect and clean, and she told me that she used the recommended cleaner, by the company that manufactured our hot tubs.  I wasn’t shocked, but I still switched to the hot tubs cleaner the very next day.  And my hot tub has been pristine and perfect ever since, which has been great!
